Jay Sae Jung Oh’s work explores the convergence of art and design through a practice spanning furniture, sculpture, and functional objects. Working across disciplines allows her to investigate material, form, and process while challenging conventional distinctions between art and design.

Represented by Salon 94 Design in New York City, Jay’s work is held in the permanent collections of the Carnegie Museum of Art, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, M+ (Museum of Visual Culture), Hong Kong, Detroit Institute of Arts, Denver Art Museum among others.

In parallel with her studio practice, Jay is the founder of Boo Oh, a design-driven pet lifestyle brand.

Across her work, Jay seeks to create objects that balance imagination and function, with an emphasis on materiality, craftsmanship, and originality.
